Underground Fiber Expansion into CoreSite DC2

The expansion adds underground connectivity infrastructure designed to improve carrier diversity across CoreSite’s regional campus environment.

Direct Reach Digital Infrastructure, formerly Harbor Link, is expanding underground fiber connectivity into CoreSite’s DC2 data center in Washington, D.C. The project is designed to create additional infrastructure options across CoreSite’s regional campus environment, including facilities in Washington and Northern Virginia.

Carrier diversity depends on more than the number of providers available at a facility. The physical path into and between facilities matters. Protected underground routes, controlled access, and deliberate interconnection planning can help operators reduce exposure to shared points of failure.

The expansion reflects DRDI’s focus on direct, resilient pathways across the Mid-Atlantic and on the white-glove coordination required to bring new infrastructure into mission-critical environments.
